Manchester United are still a long way from reaching an agreement for highly-rated teenage striker Noah Emeran ahead of the January transfer window.

Popular French publication L’Equipe had earlier revealed that the Red Devils have reached an agreement for the 16-year-old some weeks back but another French media outlet has claimed that an agreement has not been reached.

According to RMC Sport via the Daily Express, three-time European champions Manchester United are still in negotiations to sign Emeran and that the player has not decided over his future.

It was also revealed that Manchester United will have to see off European competition for him.

Italian champions Juventus, as well as the Spanish La Liga duo of Barcelona and Valencia, are interested in the Frenchman.

He is presently on the books of French Ligue 1 side Amiens.

Noah Emeran would certainly be one for the future if Manchester United can pull off a deal for him in the New Year despite the striking problems faced by the team.

The Old Trafford giants have been able to score 20 goals in 12 league games amidst the goalscoring problems faced by first choice striker Romelu Lukaku who has failed to score in his last nine games for the club in all competitions.
