Liverpool are believed to be in search for more additions at the back and they are reported to have opened talks with central defender Diego Llorente from Spanish outfit Real Sociedad.

According to reports, Diego Llorente has been identified by the Reds as a high-class defender and they are hopeful to make a bid for him in the winter transfer window which opens in coming weeks.

This deal has become urgency for Liverpool following reports that Matip is seeking a move away from the club while Lovren is also not in the best form of his career at the moment.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is believed to have been impressed by the performances displayed by Diego Llorente this season and is keen to have him joining the Anfield for the second half of the season.

Diego Llorente joined Real Sociedad from Real Madrid in 2017 and he has been able to beat the imaginations of his former owners with 6 goals scored in 30 games last season across all competitions.

With a release clause of £20 m at the moment, the 25-year-old has a contract with his current owners until 2022 but it has been revealed that Liverpool will have to pay more for the player if they wish to have him as soon as in the winter window.
