Another Chelsea defender has joined the list of those who are set to leave the Stamford Bridge at in the coming winter transfer window.
Tuttosport reports that out-of-favour defender Davide Zappacosta would be leaving the West London side in January as he seems no longer in the plans of manager Maurizio Sarri.
Davide Zappacosta was signed from Torino by former Italian manager Antonio Conte in 2017 but he has struggled to make a mark at the Stamford Bridge which makes it difficult to secure a starting role.
Earlier reports in the summer had claimed that Davide Zappacosta would be leaving to the Italian side Inter Milan and that did not happen but there are indications that it is time for the defender to have his leave so as to secure starting role elsewhere.
Suggestions are that Davide Zappacosta will not remain in the English Premier League as he would rather move elsewhere in Europe.
However, Davide Zappacosta joins the list of Nigerian international Victor Moses and former Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater as players who could be on their way from the club.
Chelsea are having enough options in the defence and most especially the midfield but there is no doubt that they will be needing options in the attack.
