Juventus Join Man United In Race For Spanish Left-back
Manchester United have had to contend with Italian Serie A champions Juventus in this season’s Champions League and it seems like the Red Devils have to face the Old Lady off the pitch too.
This is because of reports claiming that the Old Lady has joined Manchester United in the race to sign Barcelona defender Jordi Alba.
The 29-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best three left-backs in all competitions.
His future at the Nou Camp is in doubt with 18 months left on his current Barcelona contract and no sign of a new contract offer from the club.
According to the Daily Express via theweek, European giants Juventus and Manchester United are strongly interested in the Spanish international defender.
Various media outlets in Spain claim that the Red Devils have already contacted his representatives about a potential move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is the first choice left-back at the club but the Red Devils are still looking for other options in that position.
Shaw recently put pen to paper on a new contract at Old Trafford.
He has been one of the best Manchester United players in the new campaign and also scored his first goal for the club this season.
