Arsenal target Eric Bailly has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Italian Serie A giants AC Milan ahead of the upcoming transfer window in the New Year.

According to the report from ESPN via caughtoffside, the Ivory Coast international would be targeted by the seven-time European champions when Arsenal takes charge of the team.

The former Arsenal manager is set to return to football management after six months out.

Wenger is expected to replace current AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso despite good start to the new Italian Serie A season.

The Frenchman has been without a managerial job since he stepped down from his post as the Arsenal manager at the end of last season.

Wenger, 69, spent almost 22 years with the Gunners, winning three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup titles while he was in charge.

The former AS Monaco and Grampus Eight boss also led the North Londoners to two European finals.

Wenger masterminded Arsenal’s run to the final of the UEFA Cup in 2000 before his team lost to eventual champions and Turkish giants Galatasaray.

He was also the Gunners manager when a 10-man Arsenal side were beaten 2-1 by Spanish champions Barcelona in the 2006 Champions League final.
