Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp has revealed the reason behind the rocking Emirates Stadium atmosphere witnessed when the Gunners played title rivals Liverpool at the weekend.

The ex-England international star spoke about the Gunners and the Emirates Stadium atmosphere in his column for the Daily Mail via the Daily Star.

According to Redknapp, the attacking brand of football played by the North Londoners was responsible for the buzzing atmosphere in the Arsenal ground.

He further praised the swift impact of new manager Unai Emery on the team.

Arsenal earned rave reviews for their showing in the Matchweek 11 duel which ended with both sides sharing the spoils.

Both Premier League title contenders played out a 1-1 draw.

The Reds had the ball in the back of the net in the first half courtesy Sadio Mane but the Senegalese international forward was wrongly flagged for offside.

Liverpool were not to be denied shortly after the hour mark when veteran midfielder produced a fine finish to give the Reds a crucial lead against the impressive Gunners team.

Arsenal came back into the contest towards the end of the game when Alexandre Lacazette equalised for the home side off a fantastic pass from substitute Alex Iwobi.
