Emerging reports reveal that Chelsea defender, David Luiz will push for a move to the Spanish giants Barcelona in January.
The contract of the Brazilian defender expires at the end of the season and he is yet to agree on a new deal with the club.
With the expectations that the West London side will likely hand him an opportunity to remain at the club for another year, reports have it that the Brazilian will reject the offer in order to have him push for the deal.
The Blues see the 31-year-old as a major part of the team but he seems to be interested in a move to the Spanish side where he will be handed a juicy offer.
However, Chelsea are not expected to stand in the way of the former PSG defender as they look to cash in on him, rather than have him leave for free.
Howbeit, the Spanish giants are keen to have the player as they identify his quality and experience as the substance that will useful to their team.
Barcelona are also reported to be monitoring the situation with Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny and could move for him should they fail to have Luiz in January.
