Arsenal fans were delighted with the performance of forward Alex Iwobi following his cameo appearance against Liverpool in their Premier League meeting on Saturday.

The Super Eagles forward made a telling contribution for the Gunners as he helped the North Londoners record a 1-1 draw with title rivals Liverpool in a Matchweek 11 game played at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday night.

Several Arsenal fans showed their appreciation for the 22-year-old as they praised the giant strides he has made in the Gunners colours since Unai Emery became the club manager this summer.

He has been one of the numerous successes under the former Sevilla and Valencia boss within a short period.

Iwobi lost his way under the watch of former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger but he has been able to revive his Gunners career with the help of the three-time Europa League winner.

The Nigerian international has scored once and provided four assists for Arsenal this season.

The Arsenal Academy graduate was introduced as a 68th minute substitute for Armenian international midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and he went on to provide the assist for the Gunners’ equaliser against the Reds on Saturday.

Lacazette struck in the 82nd minute to cancel out the opening goal from Liverpool midfielder James Milner.
