Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has ripped into Chris Smalling for his performance in the 2-1 win over South Coast club Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Manchester United legend didn’t spare the England international centre back while he was making his assessment of the Matchweek 11 clash in the Premier League.
According to him, the entire Manchester United defence were not up to scratch especially in the first 20 to 30 minutes of the game.
Paul Scholes further said that his former side could have been three or four goals behind in the opening stages of the game.

Manchester United survived the first half an hour with just one goal following the 11th minute strike from in-form Callum Wilson.
It was his 50th goal for the Cherries and a third in the last two games in the Premier League.
