Two Liverpool players have been ruled out of the all-important Premier League match with rivals Arsenal.
The midfield duo of club captain Jordan Henderson and summer signing Naby Keita won’t be involved in the Liverpool squad for the game scheduled to take place at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening, as confirmed by Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.
The German tactician revealed this during his pre-match press conference for the crucial top-of-the-table game.
Both players have struggled with respective hamstring problems and that has led to them missing recent Liverpool games.
In their absence, summer signing Fabinho could start in midfield alongside regular starters James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Brazilian international midfielder has not been able to nail down a spot in the Liverpool team since he joined the Reds in an expensive move from French Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.
Liverpool paid around £40m to secure his signing during the summer’s transfer window.
He has made just three starts and three substitute appearances this term.
Klopp also revealed that star forward Mohamed Salah is fit to take his place in the Liverpool starting XI for the game.
There were fears that he could miss the game because of a wrist injury but those fears were laid to rest by the Liverpool manager.
