Chelsea have been warned that they could be defeated by Derby County, led by former player Frank Lampard in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
The Championship side had pulled a surprise against Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United to eliminate the Premier League side and that could be repeated against The Blues at the Stamford Bridge knowing the familiarity of the player with the team.
Lampard will be having his first football return to the Stamford Bridge as a manager in the fourth round of the competition and that could be very memorable indeed.
Wales international Harry Wilson is of the opinion that the Rams could be giant killers this season having done one and have been matched with another.
Wilson said the Carabao cup for this season seems to be made for the Chelsea legend and he feels the Lampard will enjoy his return to the West London side as he will be gong with full confidence after what happened at the Old Trafford in their last game.
Lampard remains a known figure at the Stamford Bridge where he spent 13 years with about 650 games winning some laurels at the club especially under the reigns of Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho who is currently in charge at the Old Trafford.
