Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has tipped Arsenal to challenge for the Premier League title race alongside four others.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss said this during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Citizens’ league clash with Tottenham Hotspur at the Wembley Stadium on Monday night.

Guardiola further pointed out that it’s very tight at the top of the Premier League table with two points separating the first five teams.

Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City players would be hoping to maintain their top spot at the Premier League summit when they travel to take on their hosts, Tottenham Hotspur, in a Matchday 10.

Liverpool are in second place on goal difference from Manchester City as they have the same points with the leaders (23 points).

The London trio of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are in third, fourth and fifth position respectively with 21 points apiece.

North London giants Arsenal have emerged as one of the contenders to take Manchester City’s throne as the Premier League champions following a run of seven straight league wins made possible by Monday night’s 3-1 victory over Leicester City.

Arsenal came from a goal down to beat the Foxes courtesy goals from Mesut Ozil and substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
