Man United Face Chelsea Battle For 27-Year-Old Star
Manchester United will have to fend off Chelsea and other interested clubs in their pursuit of wantaway Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Ramsey, 27, is said to be on his way out of Arsenal after senior club officials withdrew the contract offer given to him.
According to the report from the Daily Star via Daily Express, Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in a move for the former Cardiff City star.
Aaron Ramsey joined Arsenal as a teenager in a £4.8m deal from newly promoted side Cardiff City in 2008.
Since his move to North London over a decade ago, Aaron Ramsey has a consistent fixture in the Arsenal lineup.
His major contributions for Arsenal include two match-winning goals in two of the last three FA Cup title triumphs for the Gunners.
He was a big influence for the North Londoners who ended a nine-year wait for a trophy with the 3-2 comeback win over Championship side Hull City in the 2014 FA Cup final.
Ramsey scored the winning goal in extra time and also repeated the same feat against London rivals Chelsea during the 2017 FA Cup final.
The Welsh international midfielder scored the winning goal to give the Gunners a 2-1 win.
