Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is still not positive about his defence which to him is key to his side’s success this campaign.

The Italian boss hinted he is not concerned about his misfiring strikers because he has always had his way around to win without their input but he might not be able to win without the good work of his defenders.

Admitting that they have done well so far, the former Napoli manager says there is still need for them to improve.

He noted that his midfielders- Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have been on the rescue in the last three games of this season while strikers Olivier Giroud, Alvaro Morata and William failed to turn in goals as they ought to.

Howbeit, Sarri said his side have conceded goals this season to space which he said he is not happy about.

However, Chelsea have been unbeaten this season in the Premier League and they currently sit second on the log after 9 games. The Blues are also believed to be one of the best defensively having kept six clean sheets this season.

So far, The Stamford Bridge side have only conceded more than league leader Manchester City and second place Chelsea.
