Former Chelsea manager Glenn Hoddle has told hat-trick hero Ruben Loftus-Cheek that there is no best time to leave the Stamford Bridge other than now.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek just had his third appearance under manager Maurizio Sarri and he was able to put up a high-class performance in addition to scoring a hat trick, a development that could have him think it is the best time to settle down and progress and the club.

But the former Chelsea boss Hoddle says the player must leave now if he wants a progress in his career, stating that he will not have enough playing time in the current Chelsea team as a result of the many options available in that position.

Chelsea have got N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Cesc Fabregas, Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic as well in the middle with just 3 slots available per game.

Hoddle is of the opinion that Loftus-Cheek has never been the choice for the Italian boss and the hat trick scored in the Europa League game against BATE will not change that.

It would be recalled that the England national team coach Gareth Southgate complained about the lack of playing time for Loftus-Cheek which he said has been the limitation for a player with such a prospect.
