Juventus Manager Denies Pogba Transfer Rumours
Juventus manager Maximiliano Allegri has denied rumours linking Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba with a return to the club.
Allegri, 51, spoke about the France World Cup winner in a chat with the Italian media and that the 25-year-old midfield general is still a Manchester United player.
Maximiliano Allegri and Paul Pogba will reunite on Tuesday night when Italian champions Juventus travel to England to take on Manchester United in a Champions League Matchday 3 clash in Group H.
Pogba played under Allegri until the summer of 2016 when he sealed a return to Manchester United for a world record transfer fee of £89m.
Juventus had earlier paid the Red Devils a sizeable compensation fee after the Manchester United Academy graduate moved there on a free transfer from the Red Devils in 2012.
In his first season at Manchester United, Pogba played a major role in three trophy triumphs.
Manchester United won the Community Shield, the Europa League title as well as the Carabao Cup title in that season.
Things quickly moved from good to bad for Pogba when he was dropped by manager Jose Mourinho.
Their relationship has deteriorated in the new campaign leading to rumours linking the French midfielder with a return to Juventus and other clubs like Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Barcelona.
