Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has boasted of his side’s defence ability which he described as a foundation for the club’s success.
According to Klopp, clubs have been stopped from playing and holding the ball especially in their box area which he claimed to be a conscious effort by the team.
The German manager stated that he has been able to find good defenders who have got the qualities he had wanted and they have been able to adapt with the pattern of free-flowing football.
He noted that the first part of the season is as important as the season itself because the result influences what happens at the end of the day in the league.
Klopp explained that the only permitted time to sit a little bit behind is after about two goals or more have been scored by his side so as to have them defended.
However, the Anfield boss admits there are lapses which needed to be worked upon by his side in addition to meeting up with the right mentality and stability to carry on.
The Reds are yet to see any defeat in the Premier League this season, and they hoping that continue after the manager insisted he has to deliver a trophy this season.
