Arsenal have been linked with a shock move for Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno according to various media reports.

Moreno, 26, will be out of contract at the end of the season and the Spanish international left-back has been linked with a free transfer move to North London.

A specific report from the Daily Express claims that new Arsenal manager Unai Emery is keen on a reunion with the player next summer.

The Sevilla Academy graduate spent 18 months as a first team player under Unai Emery at the club.

He was part of the Sevilla squad that won the 2014 Europa League title under the guidance of Spanish tactician Unai Emery.

His impressive performances for the Seville-based club led to a £12m move to Liverpool in 2014.

Alberto Moreno was a first-team regular with the Reds until he lost his place to Scottish left-back Andrew Robertson in December 2017.

The Spaniard has been on the fringes of the first team since then despite featuring for Liverpool in 137 games in all competitions.

Alberto Moreno has made just three starts and three substitute appearances for the Merseyside club in 2018.

His only appearance for Liverpool this season came in the Carabao Cup third round clash at home to Chelsea.

The game ended 2-1 in favour of the London club as the Reds were eliminated from the competition.
