West Ham are reportedly monitoring the situation with Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud as they hope to secure his signature.
The former Arsenal man has not been in great form this season and he could be shown the way out should Chelsea finds a suitable replacement for him in the January window.
Giroud has about a year left at Stamford Bridge and has not put any new deal to paper with the long interest from Wesh Ham yet to diminish.
The World Cup winner was headed to the Irons before he was snapped up by the West London side that were in high need of him.
Manuel Pellegrini is reported to be a big fan of the French striker and will no doubt make move for him later in the winter or in the summer transfer window.
Giroud has been criticized for his non performance but that does not bother manager Maurizio Sarri who insisted that the former Gunners is an important part of the team.
He had created a record of playing all games to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia as a top striker but failed to score a single goal for at the tournament.
A move to West Ham will definitely hand him a starting role and help build his confidence in front of the goal post.
