Done Deal! Luke Shaw Pens New Man United Contract

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract at the club.

His previous deal was scheduled to expire at the end of this season and that led to questions over his future at Manchester United.

The 23-year-old has now signed a new contract to put doubts over his Manchester United future to rest.

The new contract signing is a well deserved reward for Luke Shaw who has been one of the standout performers for a disappointing Manchester United team this season.

He scored his first senior career goal earlier this season after netting the winner against Leicester City on the opening day of the new Premier League campaign in August.

The England international left-back doubled the Red Devils’ lead in the second half after France World Cup winner Paul Pogba had given the home side a third minute lead from the spot after opposition defender Daniel Amartey handled the ball in the box.

Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy pulled one back for the Foxes in added time to setup a grandstand finish but Manchester United held on to start the new campaign with a win on home soil.

Former Southampton star Shaw would be hoping to celebrate the news of his contract with a positive result when his Manchester United side travel to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.
