Former Liverpool star John Aldridge has claimed that Mohamed Salah’s injury should be a blessing in disguise to manager Jurgen Klopp who is keen to win a title this season.
The Egyptian sustained an injury during the international assignment with his country and was immediately flown to England for medical treatment with the team’s doctors.
Liverpool are currently sweating over the player’s fitness to be available for the Premier League clash against Huddersfield at the weekend.
Aldridge says while the Huddersfield game will not be taken for granted, there is no need to worry about the player’s fitness noting that the weekend game should not be too difficult for other players to handle.
He noted that the player should not be rushed but be handed the opportunity to rest and return fresh for other games ahead.
According to the former Reds player, the likes of Xherdan Sahqiri and Daniel Sturridge are more than capable to execute the weekend clash against David Wagner’s team.
Aldridge noted that Salah has not been in good form this season because he had played a lot of games last season and yet to get enough rest to refresh.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp still has injury concerns over Senegal international Saidio Mane who suffered hand injury in their game against Sudan.
