Klopp has found Liverpool’s missing rib

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has identified Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne as the substance he has missed in his squad and will make move for the player in the January transfer window, report says.

Rai Sport says the Reds look to add the firing striker to add to the creativity at the attack with star player Mohamed Salah, Saido Mane and Firmino not having it good this season.

Klopp reportedly got attracted to Insigne after he ensured his side’s defeat in the Champions League game played in Italy. The player had scored the only goal of the game.

The Napoli striker has spent 8 years at the club with Napoli seeming to be ready for business but will require a huge fee for the pacey striker who frustrated the Liverpool defence during their Champions League clash.

However, Liverpool are expected to face competition from Chelsea who have also indicated interest in the player.

Chelsea are placed in an advantageous position with manager Maurizio Sarri expected to make use of his influence and past relationship with the player to lure him to the Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Napoli are reluctant to have any dealings with the West London club after Sarri’s move. They might be unwilling to do any business with Chelsea.
