Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp might have no need to worry anymore over defender Virgil van Dijk after Holland coach Ronald Koeman assured that the player will be available for selection in the weekend clash against Huddersfield Town.
Van Dijk had quitted Holland international duty to Liverpool over the weekend after suffering a rib injury while with the Dutch side, making him unavailable for the coming friendly against Belgium.
According to Holland national team coach Koeman, Van Dijk is back in England with his Liverpool medical staff and will be ready to play at the weekend.
Van Dijk has been praised to be one of Klopp’s strongest defenders whose presence is all important to the club’s title bid.
The German manager had earlier lamented that fact that players are not allowed to rest by involving them in stressful national team fixtures during international breaks as this.
He lamented that players need to be refreshed for club football but would not happen because after playing for the club, they immediately move to their respective countries to play games again and the circle continues.
This according to him becomes a disadvantage to club managers who after resting and coming back fresh find out their players are looking tired and stressful.
