Ross Barkley

Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley has started the season on a good note for both club and country having scored for the Blues this season with a good performance for the England national team.

Barkley played a major role in England’s 3-2 win over Spain in the UEFA Nations League and was in involved in the link-up play that resulted to the 3rd goal for the Gareth Southgate team.

However, Jamie Carragher who showered praise on the former Everton player exposed why he is not perfect and where he is lacking in technicalities.

The former Liverpool defender noted the player has been tactically short in his approach in going forward as he does not make decisions in good time.

According to the pundit Barkley will be a useful player for the national team when he works on all of his deficiencies.

However, the game was predicted to be a difficult one for the visiting team owing to the full attack unleashed by the Spaniard but that was well contained by the English men.

Spain conceded three goals in the first half before replying on two occasions but could not level up the game as there was no time available for them to recover.
