Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has tipped Arsenal to challenge for the Premier League title.
The German tactician talked about the Gunners and their title prospects after his side’s goalless draw against Manchester City as he said that Arsenal are in a very good place following a run of six successive league wins.
Arsenal were the biggest winners over the weekend at the end of Matchday 8 matches.
Unai Emery’s side thrashed newly promoted outfit Fulham 5-1 in their London Derby clash at the Craven Cottage courtesy goals from Alexandre Lacazette (2), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (2) and Aaron Ramsey.
The Fulham result was the Gunners’ ninth straight win in all competitions and it catapulted them into the top four at the expense of North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s a remarkable turnaround for Arsenal who lost the first two games of the season under new manager Unai Emery (Premier League games against Manchester City and London rivals Chelsea).
The Spanish tactician has slowly and carefully introduced his style to the Arsenal players in an efficient and effective way thus leading to the recent results in the Premier League, Europa League and the Carabao.
Those results prompted Jurgen Klopp to call Arsenal a title contender alongside Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.
