Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri has since moved on but he claims to have had a hand in his former side’s triumph over Liverpool at the Champions League encounter within the week.
Napoli had to wait until the dying minute to confirm their victory over the Jurgen Klopp side and it was the most painful one to experience.
Sarri who was speaking to journalists said he had a hand in Liverpool’s fall and had perfected it days before.
The Italian side at played out a 1-1 draw against the Reds at the weekend. Sarri’s side stressed out Liverpool in the encounter and that affected their Champions League game because they were tired.
Sarri said playing at Naples can be very tiring because of the crowd, claiming that Liverpool were only exhausted at that point in time before conceding a goal.
The Reds were earlier given the chance to take the day despite going away but had a disappointing game.
The German boss had taken the blame for the defeat but was surprised his side could not create chances by not playing a single shot on target.
He, however, said he will keep working to ensure he works more on the lapses of the game.
