Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher is of the opinion that the media talks of Mohamed Salah’s dip in form is being hyped.

Salah is yet to replicate his last season for Liverpool and was subbed in the Premier League clash against Chelsea after he failed to make any mark.

The Liverpool legend who is now a Sky Sports pundit stated that the situation is being hyped by the media, adding the player has not done any worse this season.

Admitting that the former Chelsea player has not been in good form, he said the player is being unfairly questioned.

Carragher expects Jurgen Klopp to say same to the player in order not to mount unnecessary pressure on him.

According to him, Salah will not do badly even if he fails to score same 40 goals last season, adding that the player has scored 3 goals so far which is just one short of the 4 goals he scored last season at this stage.

He maintained that it would be a great season for the Egyptian even if he has 25 goals to his name this term.

The Sky Sports expert is positive that Salah will score more goals this season despite the slow start.
