The exploit by Chelsea under new manager Maurizio Sarri cannot earn them a title says Liverpool legend, John Aldridge.

Chelsea have been tipped to be the title to contenders this season but that has been dismissed by the Liverpool legend.

Giving reasons for his claim the Liverpool legend described Chelsea as a one-man team which is not enough to be title contenders.

He stressed that Chelsea only have Eden Hazard as the only star player to boost off and that cannot be relied upon.

According to him, there are no chances that the Belgium international will remain fit throughout the season and in good form for the Stamford Bridge side.

He noted that Oliver Giroud and Alvaro Morata do not fire all the time and that will make the team fail anytime Hazard is not available to help.

Aldridge, therefore, concluded that this season’s Premier League is a two-man race between Manchester City and Liverpool.

He admitted that Chelsea have some good players also but only Hazard has the ability to lift the team.

Chelsea are now behind Liverpool and man city in the Premier League table but they have also gone unbeaten so far in this current season under their new manager.
