Emerging reports indicate that Chelsea’s plan to make use of the club’s captain band as a factor to lure Eden Hazard into signing a new contract at the club.

The Belgium international is yet to commit his future to the club by renewing his deal, a development that is disturbing to many.

Hazard has been in his fine form this season and has always rescued the Stamford Bridge side with his goals, having scored seven times this season.

The Blues are not ready to part ways with the 27-year-old player and are making frantic efforts to hand him a new deal.

It has, therefore, been revealed that the player might not remain at the club even if handed a club’s captain title.

It was initially suggested that the player would be lured into staying at the club for a longer time should he be handed a lucrative deal but latest revelation seems to prove otherwise.

Hazard’s stand on his future has not been made clear as he is yet to give an official hint on what the future holds for him.

Real Madrid are a long-term admirer of the Belgium international and they will be ready to jump at him should he decide to leave the Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
