Young Arsenal defender Rob Holding has heaped praises on the club’s new manager Unai Emery for the winning mentality he has installed into the team.
The 23-year-old spoke about Unai Emery and his start to life at the Emirates Stadium as the new Arsenal manager in the wake of the 2-0 win over Watford at the weekend.
The former Bolton Wanderers centre-back was on from start to finish as he helped his team secure a fifth successive league win against the Hornets on Saturday evening.
Highflyers Watford matched up to the North Londoners and the game was heading for a goalless draw until late goals from Craig Cathcart (own goal) and Mesut Ozil pushed Arsenal to victory.
The win was enough to take Unai Emery’s men above their opponents into the fifth position on the league table after 15 points from the first seven games of the new season.
In addition, Arsenal are just four points adrift of new leaders Manchester City.
The Watford win was the Gunners’ seventh victory in all competitions following positive results against West Ham United, Newcastle United, Cardiff City, Vorskla Poltava, Everton, Brentford and Watford.
Rob Holding and Arsenal would be hoping they can make it eight wins on the trot when they travel to Qarabag in the Europa League on Thursday.
