Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri will definitely need all of his star players to remain in good shape if he must record another massive victory against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Blues already defeated the Merseyside club 2-1 at Anfield on Wednesday, he would be hoping his players make it two wins in one week over their Premier League rivals.
However, the manager has given the Blues faithful some interesting news as he revealed – during his pre-match conference on Friday – that three players are back to full fitness and they are in contention for a place in his starting XI.
Pedro, Antonio Rudiger and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who have all been missing out of action due to injury, trained with the rest of the team yesterday, that’s according to the Italian manager.
Rudiger picked up his injury last weekend against West Ham in a game that saw the Blues drop points for the first time this season.
The German defender couldn’t continue against the Hammers and was pulled out of action by Sarri in the second half of the clash.
Though Sarri confirmed he trained with the team last night, he isn’t certain whether he’s fit enough to feature in Saturday’s game.
As for Pedro and Loftus-Cheek, Sarri confirmed both players are looking sharp and okay. He admits they are set to play a part in tomorrow’s highly-anticipated clash.
“Pedro yesterday had the last part of the training with the team, like Rudiger and Loftus-Cheek. So we need to see the last training (session) and then we will decide. They are almost ready, so the situation is better three or four days ago.” Sarri said
