We reported yesterday that Arsenal manager Unai Emery is targeting a £20m move for Senegal international Ismaila Sarr in the next transfer market.
The ex-Sevilla manager is looking to upgrade his team’s performance from the wing, so he believes adding the 20-year-old to his team would do him lots of good in the second half of the campaign.
However, Emery needs to act fast about getting the player’s signature, else, he loses him to Liverpool whose manager is reportedly eyeing a possible move for the youngster.
According to the Mirror, Jurgen Klopp is set to explore the relationship between Sadio Mane and the youngster in the next transfer market.
The media outlet claim that Mane, who is Sarr’s national teammate, is set to convince the youngster to join him at Anfield in the winter.
Though Rennes are yet to decide whether they want to partway with the Sarr in January, reports claimed that Arsenal are leading the race for his signature.
Italian media outlet Tutto Sports are also claiming that Inter Milan are keeping a close tab on the youngster’s situation with the Ligue 1 outfits.
Milan, who are playing in the Champions League for this first time in recent years, are looking to bolster their team in the winter market and they have listed the player among their prime targets.
Sarr has scored three goals from seven matches he’s played for Rennes so far this season in all competitions.
