Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr is reportedly attracting interest from Arsenal as Unai Emery begins plans for the January transfer window.
The 20-year-old winger was wonderful for Senegal during the summer World Cup in Russia but he was unable to help the West African country progress to knockout stages of the competition.
According to the Mirror, Unai Emery is impressed with the youngster’s display at the Mundial and he’s ready to make an offer for his signature.
Sarr is turning heads in the French Ligue 1 with Rennes so far this season, having scored two goals in six matches.
He also scored an eye-catching thunderbolt last week in the Europa League fixture when he released a long-range effort that went straight into the top corner against Jablonec.
The British publication also claimed that the youngster is set to cost the North London outfits nothing less than £20m.
Rennes have placed a price tag on Sarr’s signature and the Ligue 1 side are looking at the prospect of earning £20m from his sale.
In other Arsenal news, Unai Emery is set to rotate his starting XI when his side tackles Brentford on Wednesday.
It’s believed that the former Sevilla boss will deploy Bernd Leno in goal as the former Bayer Leverkusen goalie would be making his second competitive appearances for the team.
Alex Iwobi, Rob Holding, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Danny Welbeck are all likely to start against the Championship side on Wednesday.
