Mourinho made some changes to starting lineup against Young Boys during their Champions League opening match of the season.
The Portuguese manager brought in summer signing Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw, Fred, Martial and Rashford into the starting XI and the changes were productive as they thrashed their Swiss opponents 3-0.
However, the former Chelsea manager is expected to bring back his regular starters, including Sanchez, Fellaini, Lingard, back to the first eleven on Saturday.
Here is how United’s starting lineup will look like ahead of their important clash.
Defense
David De Gea remains undisputed first-choice goalie, he is set to start.
Chris Smalling and Antonio Valencia will be at the heart of defence while Luke Shaw, who was lively against Young Boys, retain his position at the left-back position. Ashley Young return back to the right-back position as Mourinho revealed, this morning, that Diogo Dalot will need to rest after featuring on Wednesday.
Midfield
With Matic’s suspension, summer signing Fred could be given the nod to start at the middle of the park alongside Paul Pogba — who scored two good goals during the week to give United their deserved victory — and Marouane Fellaini.
Attack
Jesse Lingard is set to return to his favourite position, which is the right flank of attack, just as Alexis Sanchez could make a return back to the starting XI tomorrow.
Romelu Lukaku, who started against Young Boys, is set to retain his place in the team as he would be bear the burden of getting goals for the team.
