Chelsea is enjoying a successful campaign under Maurizio Sarri while they extended a winning run of form against Greek side PAOK on Thursday where Chelsea’s No.11 walked off the pitch in the late period of the game.
Albeit, they took the Lion’s share of possession and an early goal from Willian via a brilliant attack but they finished the game with what looked like Sarri wasn’t comfortable with.
The Spanish player was unable to endure with his injury sustained few minutes to the end of 90minutes from a collision with goalkeeper Alexandros Paschakalis, while Sarri had already made complete changes, he had to manage 10 men against PAOK afterwards.
Pedro posted on his Instagram page to pacify the nerves of his followers.
“Everything’s ok despite the incident at the end of the game. Come on Blues!”
While at the end of the match Sarri replied with response to Pedro’s status:
“I don’t know exactly the situation,” the Blues manager said.
The 59-year-old manager admitted that he wasn’t happy with the score-line but he was pleased with the three points.
Sarri’s men will travel to London to face West Ham on Thursday, a place where they struggled under Antonio Conte with a 1-nil defeat last season.
