We reported here yesterday that the Red Devils are set to make move for Brazilian playmaker Lucas Paquette who plies his trade with Brazilian side Flamengo.
The 21-year-old is now being tracked by Liverpool, who are eager to provide intense completion for Keita and Fabinho at the middle of the pitch.
According to Le10 Sport, the youngster has a release clause of £44m in his contract with Flamengo and the club’s hierarchy are not ready to go below the price tag.
How is Paquette going to be integrated into the club’s starting lineup, should Mourinho beat his Premier League rival Jurgen Klopp to the player’s signature
Let’s quickly give a clue on how Mourinho could perfectly explore the youngster’s talent and attacking prowess
At the midfield
Matic – Pogba – Paquette ( 4-3-3 Formation)
Matic will continue his role as the defensive midfielder, providing shield to the back four.
Paul Pogba, who is good at dictating play, could be made to act as a right midfielder so as to give space for the youngster to play at the No 10 position.
Paquette is a good athlete and a player with a long-range vision, he can easily get the ball across to the strikers to get the goals.
However, he could swap positions with Pogba depending on Mourinho’s tactical approach during games.
As a winger
Paquette is a modern-day winger, who can play both wings.
He is a pacey winger who can dribble past any defenders in a one-on-one situation. He will surely be productive for the Red Devils from the flank but it is uncertain to see if Mourinho would bench one of Pogba, Sanchez or Lingard for such inexperienced player.
