Arsenal’s new head of football Raul Sanllehi has reportedly set the ball rolling at the Emirates Stadium as he is backing Unai Emery’s move for Argentine winger Cristian Pavon in January.

The 22-year-old centre-forward plays for Boca Juniors in his homeland but his time with the Argentine club could be as good as over by January.

According to reports, Emery has picked interest in him and he’s ready to make move for his signature in the winter transfer market.

Having played 70 matches for Boca Juniors in all competitions, Pavon has scored 19 goals, however, that didn’t take anything away from his ability to score many goals.

Should Emery eventually capture the Argentine’s signature, how will the Spanish tactician lineup with the player?

Here’s a clue:

Lacazette / Aubameyang – Pavon (4-4-2 formation)

Pavon is a player who loves making assist a lot, so it will be great paring the two strikers at the final third of the pitch.

Having played 11 games for the Argentine national team, Pavon has recorded four assists, therefore, making Pavon play with a striking partner will benefit Unai Emery’s team.

Torreira – Xhaka – Pavon ( 4-2 – 1- 3 formation)

Though Pavon thrives more while playing as a centre-forward, he has also featured successfully as an attacking midfielder in some matches played by the Argentine club.

With Torreira and Xhaka, the team’s defensive midfield positions are safe, therefore, Pavon will have the freedom to move to a more advanced role at the centre of the pitch.

His long-range passes and his urge for goals will be needed by the strikers whose major duty is to get the goals.
