Manchester United are said to be targeting a big-money move for Juventus striker Paulo Dybala, who is currently out of form, according to Argentine publication Ole.

The player has seen his form dwindled out since Ronaldo joins the team and he could be sold to United in January, should he fail to hit top form before the end of the year.

Ole claimed that Mourinho is ready to make a £90m move for the 24-year-old when the winter transfer market opens in January.

The question now is why would the Portuguese manager offer such steep price for the player, when he has a very impressive youngster at his disposal?

Mason Greenwood is the latest player from the club’s academy being tipped as the next big thing at Old Trafford. The youngster was lively for the Red Devils U18 side, who defeated Blackburn 3-2 at the Carrington on Saturday.

The 17-year-old striker scored three goals to help the team get pass their opponents in a closely contested encounter.

Apart from his goalscoring instinct, Greenwood’s pace at both flanks of attack is another trait that makes him the best player to serve as Paulo Dybala.

Just as the Argentine forward, Greenwood possesses great dribbling skills, link-up play and passing techniques.

Having seen him play during their pre-season tour in America, Mourinho knows the quality possessed by the youngster therefore, he might need to cool his interest in Dybala and give Greenwood some time with the first-team players.
