Chelsea boss Mauricio Sarri backed Eden Hazard to win the EPL Golden Boot this season.
The 59-year-old boss thinks Hazard can find the back of the net 40 times this season and as well be the best player in Europe sooner or rather than later.
Hazard was the chief cornerstone to Chelsea’s success in the the last four matches where he found himself in the starting line-up including firing up a hat-trick in the 4:1 win against Cardiff City last week; extending the 100% win that placed the Blues in the first position ahead of Liverpool on goal difference.
The former Napoli manager was asked about his goal scoring form if Hazard could outstrip Mo Salah and Harry Kane this season but in his reply he said:
“I think so. We have spoken and I told him he can score 40 goals. He has to improve some things, but he can do it.”
Despite having a solo attack which was suggested by Hazard’s partnership with Giroud, Sarri is not wary of his nonchalant defense and still thinks they need to improve.
Just as Warnock’s team saw an early goal yet again when Sol Bamba lurk around the defense to put the ball passed Kepa Arrizabalaga, the Bluebird’s manager thinks Chelsea will not be able to contain the best teams in the League if they continue to have open defense and Sarri agrees.
Sarri has an eye to to turn Chelsea into the best in England but he insisted that it will only take a matter of time and not quickly as he admitted that Liverpool and Man City are still ahead.
“I think he is right. Because we are very dangerous in the defensive phase, we need to improve there. But I think we can do it.”
