Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has urged United fans to show more respect to Marouane Fellaini following his impressive performances.
The Belgian midfielder hasn’t been the fans favourite since he joined the Red Devils from Everton and has been criticized many times by the club’s supporters.
Despite the large portion of fans wanting to see him out of Old Trafford in the summer window, Fellaini remains under Mourinho’s tutelage as he desires to fight for a place in the team.
However, the player is beginning to get much game-time after starting two back-to-back matches. He started against Burnley, some days before the recent international break, and was lively throughout the encounter that ended 2-0 in their favour.

His brilliant display against Burnley were enough to earn him a place in Mourinho’s starting lineup, ahead of summer signing Fred, against Watford on Saturday.
The 30-year-old midfielder justified the gaffer’s trust as he assisted the goal that was scored by Chris Smalling.
Ferdinand lauds the player’s contribution to the team’s recent results and wants the fans to appreciate him rather than criticizing him.
Up next for Mourinho and his men is a Champions League clash with Young Boys at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
