The spirit in Arsenal’s training session was high on Wednesday despite having a very intense session with Unai Emery.

The Gunners were put through their pace by the former PSG manager, who looked impressed with the player’s response to his training methods.

Having gone through their pace, the team were divided into two sides comprising of six players.

After the six-a-side warm-up game, Lacazette’s team emerged the winner after defeating Torreira’s team.

The Frenchman and his team, including Matteo Guendouzi, Alex Iwobi, Nacho Monreal, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Shkodran Mustafi celebrated their victory after the training session.

The Gunners will battle Newcastle on Saturday, hoping to extend their winning streaky in three games.

However, their more busy schedule fixtures ahead as the Carabao Cup and the Europa competition are set to commence next week.

Unai Emery will have the opportunity to give some of his fringe players the time to get quality time on the field of play as soon as next week.

Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, and Bernd Leno, who all joined the North London outfits during the summer transfer window, could’ve called upon by Emery in the upcoming Carabao Cup fixture.

The Gunners will need to be in their devastating form if they must overcome a very clinical Rafa Benitez’s side.
