Real Madrid goalkeeper gives Chelsea fans another reason to fume over his summer transfer.

It was clear that the Belgian shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois had already given signs of his departure to Spain since March but Chelsea fans have not accepted the excuses he gave as they felt he made the club lose money in the already inflated market which would have seen his transfer fee way higher than the present Chelsea goalkeeper.

Courtois did what appears to be the worst in Stamford bridge after imitating what Diego Costa did to Antonio Conte when he was reluctant to return to the club with a request of pushing for a transfer.

After the World Cup, Chelsea former goalkeeper was clearly not ready to return to the club because he needed to finish business with Real Madrid’s deal.

Courtois divulged his thought to the club as he expressed himself:

“…because the transfer was closed I did not show up because I thought it better not to disturb the team and the squad. If I did go there maybe, I didn’t want to be toxic, so obviously it is a pity because I love Chelsea.”

It was evident that Courtois was poised to depart to Real Madrid and escape the exit door at Stamford Bridge as he claimed that he wanted to be closer to his children who live in Spain.

The threat to leave continued and while it remained just one year left in his contract, Chelsea knew that it remained nothing than to squeeze out the little they could get from selling the 27-year-old player.

Chelsea fans were happy to have Kepa Arrizabalaga come in but not with a loss in business after selling Courtois for £35 million.

However, Courtois also was happy to express his joy for playing under the Blues

“I loved playing there and I am happy to have won two Premier Leagues, a league cup and an FA Cup. Hopefully it will turn around.”
