Former Blues player Claude Makelele claims he is confident the 59-year-old manager will be a success at Chelsea.
The former Napoli manager is yet to win a major title after spending most of his managerial career in Italy.
However, Seria A has been completely dominated by Juventus for the past six years but Sarri brought a spark out of Napoli who were very close to clinging the title last season.
Sarri decided to leave for England in a club that can as well fight to win titles.
Even though it now appears that Man City and Liverpool would want to dominate the Premier lLeaguedue to their recent signings and eye for the cup, Makelele refused to rule out Sarri from achieving a great success with the Blues.
Former manager Antonio Conte recorded an FA Cup and a Premier League title in his reign as Chelsea manager.
Sarri, however, started brightly, recording four wins in four as he shares the same point with current league leaders Liverpool.
Former Chelsea defensive midfielder, Makelele thinks it would be difficult for Chelsea to lift the cup because of several competitors.
“Before now you have a lot of teams in the Premier League, it’s competitive. So it’s going to be difficult for them to win the Premier League. I’m confident.” He said.
Many fans still feel like Chelsea’s weakness is still lying under the shadow of Eden Hazard who is yet to renew his contract.
Sarri has really influenced his team with his possessive football style but it appears that it can best be found in the left wing between Hazard, Kovacic, Jorginho and Alonso.
Chelsea will look forward to continuing their winning form as they welcome Cardiff on Saturday.
