Manchester United teenager Diogo Dalot is reportedly set for his first Premier League appearance in Manchester United shirt after declaring himself fit.
Dalot, 19, joined the Red Devils from Porto this summer but had to wait this long before his debut due to an injury he picked up in pre-season.
The defender played his first game after five months when he tasted 78 minutes of action for United U23 side in their win against Stoke City on Saturday.
In his interview after the game, Dalot reaffirmed his readiness to feature for the Red Devils when the League resumes after two weeks of international break.
According to the young full-back, he is more than willing and ready to make his debut for the former Premier League Champions as long as Mourinho want to involve him.
Despite his unwanted start to his United career, the player said he’s happy with what he’s learnt at Old Trafford so far.
Though he hasn’t played a single game for the senior team, Dalot is happy at Old Trafford because he is learning from top defenders — including Valencia, Matteo, Shaw and Ashley.
He told ESPN that he can’t wait to get started with the rest of the team.
With the upcoming hectic fixtures, Dalot is likely going to have his full debut this month.
The Red Devils would be involved in seven matches within 21 days and Mourinho would be happy to have his compatriot back to the team.
“The team have helped me a lot during this recovery time. We are together, we are strong and I can’t wait to start.” told ESPN in an exclusive interview
