Manchester United Jose Mourinho has shocked the Red Devils fans as he revealed that he is not amazed seeing how his players started the season.
The Portuguese manager has failed to get more than three points from possible nine points, however, it wasn’t a surprise to the former Porto manager who said he knows this season is going be very difficult.
According to Mourinho in his interview with reporters ahead of his Burnley clash, he has told his men that this season will be a very tough one for them because their opponents are prepared to lay claim for the trophy.
“I knew this was going to be difficult because I knew that last season was going to be very, very difficult.”
The Portuguese manager had earlier criticised his employers— during the summer transfer window— for not getting him most of the players he wanted before the season begins.
Despite admitting that the season will be very tough for his team, Mourinho never ruled out the chance of winning the Premier League title by the end of the season.
According to him, the Red Devils are still in the race for the glory as they have lost just two matches out of 38 matches.
With 35 games left in the season, Mourinho believes anything could still happen and they might be lifting the Premier League title in May next year.
Meanwhile, the Manchester club face Burnley today and Mourinho said their target is to get maximum points against the Turf Moor outfits.
