Man United Open Contract Talks With ‘Prolific Goal Poacher’

Rift or no rift, Manchester United are set to tie down Anthony Martial to the club for more seasons.
The Frenchman is reportedly not in a good page with José Mourinho as the Portuguese manager recently criticised his performance in their defeat to Brighton two weeks ago.

It was even revealed that the Portuguese manager wanted to get rid of the player’s contract with the team, hoping to offer him as a makeshift for Willian’s signature during the summer window, but the Red Devils hierarchy prevented him from pushing through with the deal.
After keeping the player beyond this summer, Vice-chairman Woodward is set to offer him a new contract extension, that’s according to BBC Sports.
The British media are claiming that the 22-year-old striker is in advance talks with the Red Devils over a new contract as his present agreement with the team is set to expire by the end of the season.
However, there is still question mark over his chance of getting regular action during this season as he looks to be out of favour with the former Porto and Real Madrid manager.
After three round of matches, Martial has managed just one start against Brighton and he was hauled off by Mourinho in the second half of the encounter.
He is presently behind Jesse Lingard, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford in the pecking order.
