Barcelona are very much confident they will capture Manchester United star midfielder Paul Pogba’s next year.

The Catalans are optimistic about signing the Frenchman in January despite failing to lure him to the Camp Nou Stadium this summer.

According to reports emanating from the Catalans, Barcelona manager, Ernesto Valverde believes he will eventually capture the 25-year-old midfielder in the second half of this season when the winter transfer market opens.

United re-signed the World Cup winner from Juventus for a fee which was reported to be £89m in 2016 but he is yet to live up to his billings.

Though he helped United to two major titles in his first season at the Theater of Dreams, Pogba hasn’t reached the height many fans expected of him prior to his return to the Red Devils.

According to Sports, the Catalan outfits believe they will capture Pogba’s signature just as they did when they completed a £142million deal for former Liverpool playmaker Phillippe Coutinho.

Barcelona tried all they could to get the Brazilian during 2017 summer but couldn’t find a breakthrough until 2018 winter when they finally convinced the Merseyside club to let him go.

With Pogba’s unhappy relationship with Mourinho, the Catalans believe they will capture the player by offering the Red Devils a huge-money offer in January.
