Liverpool manager is happy with what he’s seen so far from his summer signing goaltender Alisson Becker, who has been nothing short of awesome for the Reds.
The German manager reportedly targeted a move for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak during the summer window but he was unable to get his signature, that’s according to Spanish media AS.
AS revealed that the former Borussia Dortmund manager made enquiries over Oblak’s availability after seeing Karius’ errors during his side’s 3-0 defeat to Real Madrid in Champions League final match.

The Spanish media further claimed that the Rojiblancos placed a £90m price tag on his signature and that ultimately scared Liverpool off his services.
Having failed to capture Oblak’s signature, Klopp turned his attention to Alisson Becker, who was playing for Roma as at that time.
At first, the Serie A side were reluctant to release the goalie due to their inability to get a perfect replacement for him.
After intense pressure from the Merseyside club, Roma rescinded their decision over Alison’s signature as they revealed their asking price.
After many days of negotiations, the Reds finally reached a £68.8m agreement with Roma for the Brazilian’s signature and the deal was confirmed after his medicals at Melwood in the first will week of the month.
Though Alisson purchasing price was too steep, he is presently justifying his market value as he’s yet to concede a goal this season.
