See what Harry Kane told Klopp after Spur’s victory at Old Trafford

Harry Kane

After a nerve-wracking performance following the 3-0 victory at Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur’s superstar Harry Kane delivered a slightly mystifying dig at Liverpool.

The English captain gave Spurs the lead after Jones could not properly man mark him in the second half. Lucas Moura scored a brace afterwards from another careless defense by the Red Devils.

When questioned about their start to the campaign, Harry Kane sent out a message that the Reds should “put money where their mouth is”.

Liverpool made Virgil Van Dijk the most expensive defender and Alisson a temporarily most expensive goalkeeper, along-side, further spending to bring in Naby Keita, Shaqiri and Fabinho.

‘Mo Salah? No: Also give credit to this player

However, Spurs were mute and more considerate in their expenditures and this assertion was seen when they opted to bid for Aston Villa’s midfielder Jack Grealish for £25 million in an already inflated market.

It is now clear that the tranquil gesture imposed by the Spurs manager in the transfer window has shown how prolific his players are this season.

The league leaders will now need to start looking at Spurs as a progressive threat and a team with ambition that is also targeting beyond the champions league spot.

Liverpool will face Tottenham Hotspurs on the 15th of September as an early kick off at 12:30 G.M.T at Wembley Stadium following the international break.
