Arsenal are known for their huge trust in developing youngsters into world-class players in a short period of time.

The Hale End Academy has witnessed the growth of many youngsters since it came into existence some years back.

Cesc Fabregas, Alex Iwobi, Hector Bellerin, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Maitland-Niles are examples of some players who started their respective careers from the Gunners Academy during Arsene Wenger’s 22 years reign.

Though Wenger is no longer at the Emirates Stadium, Unai Emery has promised to continue in the trend created by the Frenchman, therefore, there are some youngsters who could have a breakout season under Emery’s tutelage at the course of this campaign.

The 22-year-old centre-back joined the Gunners from Bolton Wanderers in the 2016-17 season and he was given his debut appearance by Wenger the same season.

After two seasons at the Emirates Stadium, the young defender has played 21 matches for the Gunners and will be hoping for more this term.

He possesses great strength in the air and he can easily play Emery’s kind of football.

Apart from his qualities, the player could boast of many experiences as he has featured in many first-team games with Bolton in the Championship before making his move to the Emirates Stadium.

With Arsenal yet to find a perfect solution to the defensive problem, Holding could be given the chance to prove his worth.
